My name is Breckon Reed, the founder of F4 Coaching, built on the pillars of Faith, Family, Food, and Football. I’m originally from Juniata, NE, and have spent the past eight years coaching football across Nebraska and Texas. My coaching journey has taken me from Kearney High School, where I coached running backs and wide receivers, to Odessa High School as the wide receivers coach and pass game coordinator, to Bridgeland High School, and then to Grand Island High School as the offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach. I now serve as the wide receivers coach at Katy Tompkins High School in Katy, TX. I am a follower of Jesus and I gave my life to Christ during my sophomore year of high school. My faith continues to guide everything I do. I’m passionate about helping coaches stay grounded in their faith, prioritize their families, enjoy great food, and grow in the game we all love. I’ve been married to the love of my life, Kaylee, for seven years, and we have a beautiful two-year-old daughter named Avaleigh.

FAITH

Every young man a coach meets is a life we have the power to shape. I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior when I was a sophomore in high school, and football has been a lifelong passion ever since. Combining my faith with my love of football, coaching became the perfect calling—a way to serve and mold young men into individuals of character and integrity. Coaches have the ability to impact more lives in a single year than many people do in a lifetime. Some are called to be pastors; others are called to be coaches, but both are platforms to honor and serve our Creator. I know how demanding coaching can be, how easy it is to let the grind of practices, games, and schedules overshadow faith and family. F4 Coaching exists to encourage coaches, strengthen their faith, and provide practical guidance for navigating these challenges. Coaching is where I feel called to make a difference, allowing Christ to work through me in the lives of these young men. I’m not perfect, and I’ve fallen short in many ways, but my hope is that through F4 Coaching, coaches are empowered in their calling and Christ’s influence extends far beyond the field.

FAMILY

As a husband and father, I’ve learned that staying grounded in family is just as essential to being an effective coach as any play on the field. In the coaching profession, it’s easy to lose sight of family and what truly matters. Long hours, busy weekends, and time-consuming game planning often mean the family ends up paying the price. No coach intends for that to happen, but sadly, it creeps up on many of us. I’ve been guilty of seeing coaching as my mission, when in reality, it is my family’s mission. Just as the strength of your positional unit affects the team, the strength of your family has an even greater impact. I want my wife, Kaylee, and my daughter, Avaleigh, to be part of this mission field—I can’t do it without them. Behind every great coach is a woman who loves unconditionally, supports through adversity, and carries the weight of the stress that comes with coaching. Part of the vision of F4 Coaching is to provide support and practical tips to help coaches reclaim their family and keep it as the priority over football.

FOOD

Food has always been more than just meals; it’s a way to bring people together, celebrate victories, and create memories off the field. Tailgates, team meals, and family dinners are all opportunities to strengthen relationships and share life with those around you. A common way that I like to get away from the busyness of life is firing up the smoker and putting on a brisket, ribs, pork belly, etc. It is a way for me to decompress and also serve my family and those around me. Part of F4 Coaching is providing ideas, tips, and inspiration for these moments, because how we nourish our families and teams matters just as much as anything else. Food reminds us that life is meant to be enjoyed, and it creates a space where relationships can grow naturally, both on and off the field.

FOOTBALL

I’ve spent years going on deep dives into offensive systems, and one thing quickly became clear: there’s never a single place to learn everything. You usually have to piece it together—talk to coaches, buy content, watch film, learn the verbiage—and it can take years to really understand a system. That process doesn’t change, just the location of where everything is at. I’ve always been fascinated by the Veer and Shoot, and I remember thinking, “Man, it would be nice if all of this was in one place.” That’s exactly what F4 Coaching aims to do. I want to dive deep into systems, break down concepts, map out coaching trees, and make it all accessible in one location for coaches at any level. For those of us who are a little OCD—always looking for a better name for a formation, a more efficient way to organize plays, or a play card that actually works—I want to provide practical playbook material, templates, and resources to make life easier. And this isn’t just for coaches. I also want the average fan to have a place to come learn Football 101, understand terminology, and get a clear view of the game. My goal is simple: to make learning football more accessible, more organized, and more useful for everyone who loves the game.
